Welcome to the new Digs!
Welcome Knitty Gritty viewers! If you are here for the first time, I’m glad you’ve made your way here!
Things have been crazy busy lately, and it’s all I can do to squeeze out a project or two. However, we here at Yarn Ball Boogie are quite proud of these little girls. The socks people! The socks!!

I literally picked up the yarn and started a plain ‘ole sock. But by the time I was finished with the ribbing up top, I had developed an idea. It kinda felt like that time-lapse photography where you see a bud on a flower open up quickly. My brain works like that. FULL SPEED AHEAD.
And I hope you like the results on the back:

I hope my regular viewers (all 6 of you - - that’s becoming like my running joke, isn’t it?) like the new blog. I must must must give props to the kick-ass graphic designer Cynthia at http://www.hula-la.com for capturing my persona in the banner. She rocks. Period.
And to Scout for the website work. Truly remarkable that one. And did I mention I live in Brooklyn and she lives in Albuquerque??!?!?? She’s THAT good. She’s one of those people that can make you realize how great things can really be. With anything. Not just yarn. Oh, but she’s got you covered on that, too. Duh! I hope someday she’ll let me write a book using only her yarns for every project. (HINT)…..
Anyway, enjoy your knitting, enjoy the pattern, support the little people (me) and thank you to the entire Knitty Gritty crew for making it an enjoyable experience, once again. (Did I mention I cut myself with my Gingher scissors literally 3 minutes before taping?)
Something only I could do……

Those socks seriously rock! Love them!
Who’s your model? She’s ridiculously gorgeous, too!
Love the styling of the photo.
your site looks great - so do the socks!
I love those socks. And since I’m a varegated yarn hoarder, these appeal to me even more.
I’ve got your show all ready set in the DVR which I’m so anxious to see. I’m really feeling the new digs also. Now I expect you to bump that number to 7 loyal readers (lol).
Looks great! Hurray for new websites! Hurray for new socks! Hurray for John!
big love to you, cutie
Yay, John, the new place looks wonderful!
Can’t wait to catch your show in a few minutes.
Good luck, break a leg. Or, should that be Break a needle?
Hey John, I came over from Scout’s, and just wanted to say hey! I love the new site, and the sock pattern is very cool. I think I might have to get a copy for some gift socks I’m going to knit.
Oh and Scout talked me into getting one of your keychains last time I was at her house…I love it! I get compliments everywhere I go. It’s such a great way to show everyone that I’m a knitter!
I love the socks!!! I am without DVR and my VCR sucks ass so I can’t watch your show today.
Congratulations
I love your new site!!!
Great new site and I love the sock pattern and the model(it’s always nice to have someone around the house who helps with the cooking). It looks like you all did an awesome job!

love the new site, it looks great. that model is smokin!
That first shot takes the prize for the absolute *best* knitting photo I’ve ever seen. Most excellent! Cool socks, too.
Saw the show today. It was great! I have this cardigan sweater( well actually sweater pieces it has not been seamed yet) that I knitted for my daughter. Did the standard mattress stitch but didn’t like the way it looked so I ripped it out and was think ripping out the whole project and doing something else with the yarn, but after watching you today it got the wheels spinning so the project might be saved after all. Thanks. So I guess that makes me the 8th reader.:) Oh yeah great socks.
As you wish m’dear. I’ll always send you whatever you want! Looks like the website is rocking. Yay!
It’s a great pattern! So glad that Scout send us over here!
I caught you on Knitty Gritty today. It was great. Love the new look of the site and the socks!
Wow- I am loving those socks- little bit of interest so we don’t die of boredom but not so crazy that you can’t use your fun variegated yarns!
Great job.
Congrats on KG, too!
Terrific new site and that’s a very cool and funky sock!
Hi John, make that 7 people watching your blog now! Just saw your episode on Knitty Gritty, and thought I’d check out your site. Wonderful! Just getting started, but I can tell already I’ll be a regular here.
The pattern looks great (even better saved on my computer now) I look forward to knitting them up. Someday, after the long line of UFO’s. The site looks great btw!
Also BTW I just posted about the pattern on the Lime & Violet MB… if I am right (and I bet I am) there should be some more crazed sock knitters stopping by.
I’ve been a lurker on your site for sometime, but I have to come out & say I bought this pattern, absolutely LOVE THEM —–nice job!
Love the socks! Just ordered the pattern and now I’m off to find the perfect yarn in my stash.
